This year, the conference will feature Khal Shariff, a renowned Gold-Award recipient and CEO of Project Whitecard, who will deliver two insightful presentations.

In his first session, Khal Shariff will explore the transformative journey of “Street Sense,” British Columbia’s pioneering driver training program. Street Sense wins Gold from International Serious Play Awards! https://go.projectwhitecard.com/street-sense-wins-gold-from-international-serious-play-awards/ https://go.projectwhitecard.com/street-sense-wins-gold-from-international-serious-play-awards/#respond Wed, 12 Oct 2022 18:11:22 +0000 https://go.projectwhitecard.com/?p=4988 Project Whitecard, TELUS, and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) are thrilled to announce that the joint team behind Street Sense, the digital driving hazard simulation application, has taken a second award, this time Gold from the International Serious Play Awards!

Held every year since 2008, and founded by Sue Bohle of Atari fame, the International Serious Play Awards and the attendant international speakers’ conference were held in Orlando, Florida. Street Sense took the only Gold award for Military and Government. On June 14, 2022, lead developer Khal Shariff accepted this honour on behalf of ICBC, TELUS, and Project Whitecard.

Street Sense launched only earlier this year, in April, and has already won the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators Road Safety Award.

Says Khal, CEO of Project Whitecard:
“Well, not only is this the most amazing group of collaborators, it seems that ICBC is setting a new precedent for driver safety training worldwide. Thanks to hard work and vision, Canada is far ahead of everyone else.”

The team is already heads-down on a sequel, and the Serious Play Award further confirms the impact ICBC has on drivers. By leveraging virtual reality and other simulation technologies, ICBC is changing how people think about driver safety. Congratulations!
